The LIE 💔 I Believed For So LONG!! Ugh! - No More Separation!!

Okay Boom so, last night I found myself literally screaming during Bible study. 😩 Why? Because I finally realized something I had been wrong about for years. Sin does not separate us from the love of God.

For so long, I thought every mistake pulled me away from Jesus. If I overate, snapped at someone, or fell into bad habits....  That weight of condemnation was heavvvyyy! REAL HEAVY!

But scripture showed me the truth. Yes, sin separated us in the garden with Adam and Eve. Genesis 3 tells the story of disobedience that brought separation. The Bible also says, “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). That was the reality before Christ.

But JESUS!!! (picture me running around the building) 😂

Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Ephesians 2:13 declares, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

And Romans 8:38-39 seals it with this promise: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jesus closed the gap.

Listennnnnnn!! This is EXACTLY why we must open our Bibles & seek Jesus for ourselves. 🙌🏾 That clarity, peace, & direction we crave are already in His WORD. John 1:1 tells us, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” When you read scripture, you hear His voice.

So here is my takeaway. I am done believing the lie that my mistakes cancel His love. I need God's Word DAILY, to uncover fresh (to me) truth. And I want you to know this too. 👏🏾  Nothing you have done and nothing you will ever do can separate you from the love of God. NOTHING!
